Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position in Syracuse, NY, requiring 3+ years of acute care experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

Located on a 140-bed Medical/Surgical Orthopedic unit (6 South)
Serves as both a dedicated ortho unit and med/surg overflow
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
Every other weekend required
No blocked scheduling
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on night shift
Charts using Epic EMR
16-week contract

Requirements

Active and clear NY RN license required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 3 years of acute care Med/Surg experience required
Orthopedic nursing experience required
Epic EMR experience strongly preferred given unit use

Additional Information

Fast-paced environment combining orthopedic specialty care and med/surg overflow
Any color scrubs are acceptable
Two supervisor or manager references from within the last year are required for consideration
A skills checklist completed within the last 12 months is required for consideration
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a different pay rate
