Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position in Syracuse, NY, requiring 3+ years of acute care experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

  • Located on a 140-bed Medical/Surgical Orthopedic unit (6 South)
  • Serves as both a dedicated ortho unit and med/surg overflow
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • No blocked scheduling
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on night shift
  • Charts using Epic EMR
  • 16-week contract

Requirements

  • Active and clear NY RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care Med/Surg experience required
  • Orthopedic nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience strongly preferred given unit use

Additional Information

  • Fast-paced environment combining orthopedic specialty care and med/surg overflow
  • Any color scrubs are acceptable
  • Two supervisor or manager references from within the last year are required for consideration
  • A skills checklist completed within the last 12 months is required for consideration
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a different pay rate
