Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 1 year of inpatient experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Med/Surg patient population with telemetry monitored centrally
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a, with a 3x12 or 4x12-hour option
• Free-floating charge nurse and a house discharge nurse that floats across all departments
• 13-week contract
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• First-time travelers should check position details for eligibility

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med/Surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
