Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist (Dual Modality CT/Rad Tech) with at least 2 years of CT experience for a 12-hour night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Responsibilities

• Large academic medical center with 885 licensed beds, Level 1 Trauma designation, and designations as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
• Radiology department with 4 imaging rooms and 4 CT scanners serving both pediatric and adult patients
• High-acuity setting with an average of 200 patients per day; common cases include trauma and strokes
• Primary equipment includes Siemens, GE, and Canon CT scanners, fixed X-ray, mobile X-ray (RadPRO portables), and mini C-arm
• EMR: Epic
• 12-hour night shifts; shift times are either 2:30 PM–1:00 AM (Mon–Thu) or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM (Mon, Tue, Thu)
• 4-week schedule cycle
• Travelers are expected to cover approximately 75% of holidays
• May float to the ED within the CT department only
• No on-call or weekend rotation requirements
• Perform CT and X-ray imaging on both adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma setting
• Department is supported by 5 senior staff members across adult and pediatric units
• Departmental orientation is up to 5 days, depending on experience level
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• RTO requires manager approval
• Black scrubs required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT certification RT(R)(CT) required
• Proficiency in CT and X-ray required; fluoroscopy setup experience helpful — training available
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patient populations in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma environment
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• License required if applicable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 1 professional reference dated within the past year required for consideration — must be from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
