Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Lead CT Technologist for a radiology CT department, requiring strong proficiency in CT imaging equipment and leadership experience overseeing staff, protocols, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based radiology CT department
- Monday through Friday schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- Position involves direct patient care
- EMR: Epic (charting experience required)
- Coordinate staff schedules and work assignments to ensure timely completion of CT scans
- Implement new CT protocols and ensure staff are trained accordingly
- Oversee CT equipment quality control processes and maintain accreditation standards with governing agencies including ACR, The Joint Commission, FDA-MITA, Massachusetts State Radiation Control, and CMS
- Collaborate with CT staff, radiology managers, and radiologists to optimize exam protocols, patient care processes, and image quality
- May function as a scanning technologist to maintain direct patient care and imaging skills
- Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and work with vendors to resolve technical issues
- Assist with staff performance evaluations through feedback and peer review
- Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
- Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but will receive a reduced pay rate
- No validated parking available at this Boston location; public parking is available at daily rates ranging from $17–$22
- Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
Requirements
- BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted for this location)
- Active MA license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- MA license required for consideration, if applicable
- Proficiency with CT imaging equipment, techniques, and procedures across multiple vendor platforms and software
- 2 references required for consideration
