Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift CT/X-Ray position in an acute care hospital setting, requiring multi-modality proficiency in both CT and X-ray.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting, working primarily within the Emergency Department
• Multi-modality role requiring proficiency in both CT and X-ray imaging
• Equipment includes Siemens X-cite, Siemens CT, and Canon/Toshiba CT systems
• Charting performed in MEDITECH
• Estimated 20–40 scans per shift, with volume varying based on ED activity
• 3x12-hour night shifts: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• May assist in X-ray as needed
• Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, performing daily QC and tube warm-ups, selecting scan protocols, positioning patients, administering contrast, and taking patient history prior to exams
• Radiation protection principles and ALARA practices must be applied at all times
• Role includes transporting patients to and from the department
• Responsible for equipment cleaning, inventory management, and restocking supplies
• Aseptic technique and infection control protocols must be followed
• Scrubs are not provided; dress code requires black pants and a pewter top

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT certification and BLS required
• ARRT (CT) specialty certification required
• Experience with Canon, Toshiba, or Siemens CT equipment strongly preferred
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift, push, and pull without restrictions; heavy lifting up to 35 lbs required
• License required if applicable
