Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel contract at a Level 1 trauma facility, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and Siemens scanner experience.
Responsibilities
- Level 1 trauma center setting within a large academic hospital system
- CT department with rotation among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Weekend availability required
- Non-rotating shift
- Uses Siemens CT scanners, Power Injectors, Laser Printers, and patient monitoring devices
- Epic used for charting
- 13-week contract
- Operates CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images per departmental protocol, ensuring proper patient preparation, positioning, and immobilization
- Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction
- Calibrates and verifies equipment operation and reports malfunctions as needed
- Executes Radiology Information System (RIS) functions including scheduling, completing exams, and transferring images to PACS
- May oversee and instruct radiology and CT technology students within the department
- Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement, and research programs within the department
- Responsible for on-call coverage and flexibility with shift coverage as needed
- Transports and transfers patients per departmental guidelines
- Maintains CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and ARRT requirements
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but will receive a reduced pay rate
- No validated parking available at Boston location; public transportation and paid public parking lots are nearby
- Time keeping system: UKG/Kronos
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Any approved time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Active MA Radiologic Technologist license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- ARRT registration required; CT registry (ARRT) required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Siemens CT scanner experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Experience with cross-sectional anatomy
- Proficiency with venipuncture for contrast administration
- Epic EMR experience
- License required if applicable
