Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience, ARRT (CT and R) certification, and proficiency in both CT and X-Ray for a weekend day shift contract position in a hospital outpatient and ED setting.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based position serving outpatient (adult and pediatric) and emergency department (ED) patient populations
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CTAs, multiplanar reconstruction, pulmonary vein CT, cardiac calcium scores, and perfusion studies
- X-Ray procedures include extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Requires starting approximately 8–9 IVs per day
- Uses PACS, portables, and Siemens equipment; Samsung X-Ray experience preferred
- Charts in Epic (required)
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Friday through Sunday
- May occasionally be asked to float to other facilities
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All candidates must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (two attempts allowed); study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography (R) required
- Current BLS required
- Outpatient (adult and pediatric) and ED experience required
- Proficiency with PACS, portables, and Siemens equipment required; Samsung X-Ray experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Experience with infants and pediatric patients preferred
- Must be able to perform both CT and X-Ray
- Must be able to independently start IVs
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- License required if applicable
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
