Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and the ability to circulate.

Responsibilities

• 13-week travel contract in a Labor & Delivery unit at a 426-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 07:00–19:30
• Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
• Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Scrubs are provided for L&D
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Travel pairs will not be considered
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• All RTO must be disclosed and submitted at time of consideration; post-submission RTO requests may be denied
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a local rate
• Free parking is available on-site
• RNs wear navy blue scrubs

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate; AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Ability to circulate required
• Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
