Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 18 months of permanent MS/Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required (maximum of 2 attempts)
• Candidates who have previously worked at Cleveland Clinic as permanent or per diem staff must wait 1 year from their end date before being considered
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to or during the interview process
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirements; this exemption is temporary and honored until further notice
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing a contract
• Travelers may work at Cleveland Clinic locations for a maximum of 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break is required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact state license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS from AHA or American Red Cross required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Minimum 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to any travel experience
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required for consideration (Charge RN references accepted)
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
