Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major hospital in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and an Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

Step-down unit (HVTI) in a large hospital setting
Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population
Day/night rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
Shift rotation may be adjusted as needed to meet operational needs
13-week contract

Requirements

Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in step-down nursing prior to any travel experience
Minimum 18 months of recent step-down experience (travel experience counts)
PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
Must be able to achieve an acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; passing scores on both are required to continue the assignment
Must work at least every other holiday
Candidates who have worked at any Cleveland Clinic location for 18 or more consecutive months must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning a new assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
