Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a night shift travel contract in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation unit in a regional health center setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including neuro, trauma, burns, wound vac management, and gait training/strengthening
• 13-bed unit with a 1:6 RN-to-patient ratio
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to Med/Surg as needed
• EMR: Meditech experience preferred
• Lift equipment used on the unit

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Med/Surg, LTAC, or inpatient rehab experience accepted
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including those recovering from neuro events, trauma, burns, and deconditioning
• Travel experience preferred but not required; first-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required to clear prior to start
• All background check counties and states must be fully cleared prior to start — instant or statewide searches are not accepted
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be dated within the last 12 months
• COVID vaccination card required
