Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week outpatient/rehabilitation contract in Atascadero, CA with a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details

• Outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting located on the Central Coast of California
• Day shift schedule; 4x9-hour shifts and 1x4-hour shift per week preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA PT license required; CA license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Proficiency in EMR documentation required
• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and PT billing procedures required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients with transfers, mobility, and ambulation safety
• Must be able to remain physically active, including sitting, walking, and prolonged standing throughout 8-10 hour shifts

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, completing EMR documentation, supervising PT Assistants and Aides, and coordinating with physicians and front office staff
• Candidates are expected to participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed
• Familiarity with Medicare, workers' compensation, private pay, auto, liens, and cash pay billing is expected
• Continuing education is preferred
• HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protection are core expectations of this role
