Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring a minimum of 18 months of CVICU experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a large academic hospital campus
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week on a rotating day/night rotation (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Shifts may rotate based on operational needs of the unit
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation, and a passing score on both is required
• Holiday coverage is required for at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not work more than 18 consecutive months across any assignments at this health system, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before starting a new assignment at any of its locations

Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio or a compact state currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in CVICU or a closely related specialty prior to any travel assignments
• Minimum of 18 months of recent CVICU experience required (travel experience accepted)
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
