Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with previous home health experience for a 7-week travel contract in California requiring an active CA state license.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–17:00)
• Focus on rehabilitative programs to build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills for patients with disabilities or developmental delays
• Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs promoting patient independence in daily living
• Provide clinical supervision of OT assistants and aides, and serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former employees of this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved per contract

Requirements

• Active California OT state license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
• Previous home health experience required
• Two supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration
