Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated academic medical center, requiring 2+ years of experience and AHA certifications.

Details

  • 5 cath lab procedure rooms plus a Hybrid OR
  • Cases include Right and Left Heart Cath (diagnostic), PCI, Complex PCI, CTO, ASA, PFO/ASD, MitraClip, Watchman, PTMV, TAVR, and peripheral/vascular procedures
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
  • On-call required 1–2 nights per week, one weekend per six-week period, and holiday call is possible
  • Epic EMR (experience preferred)
  • Located at a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
  • Current SCRQSA, ACLS, and BLS required — AHA-issued certifications only
  • CCI with RCIS or RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also accepted
  • Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
  • SC license required if applicable — candidates with a pending license may be considered, but must have an active SC license prior to start
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Additional Information

  • Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
  • Orientation modules are completed prior to start date and average approximately 4 hours
  • During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
  • Parking is free on weekdays; a one-time $20 parking pass is required for nights and weekends
