Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardio/Pulmonary Med/Surg unit, requiring Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Cardio/Pulmonary Med/Surg unit (CT8) within a hospital setting
• Manages care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients
• Epic EMR is used; experience is required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma facility experience required
• Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• English proficiency required (speaking, reading, and writing)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include completing patient assessments, developing and maintaining care plans, administering medications, managing IV/venipuncture, blood administration, lab monitoring, and patient discharge education
• Additional duties include team huddle facilitation, patient delegation with follow-up, conflict management, and professional communication across the care team
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment at this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any of their locations
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
