Description

American Traveler is seeking a dependable RN with at least 3 years of pediatric experience for a small community hospital Pediatrics position in Massachusetts requiring an active MA RN license and floating capability to Med/Surg or Post-Partum.

Details

• Small community hospital pediatric unit with a maximum census of 3 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Float responsibilities to Med/Surg or Post-Partum as needed
• Adult Med/Surg experience is preferred for float assignments
• Meditech Expanse is the EMR system; experience strongly preferred
• Support available from Family Birthplace staff, respiratory therapists, and IV therapists
• No block scheduling accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of current pediatric nursing experience required
• Adult Med/Surg experience preferred (for float coverage)
• BSN preferred
• Personal vehicle required
• Current Pediatric and Medical Surgical skills checklists (within the past year) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• This is a very small unit — reliability and attendance are critical, as call-outs directly impact patient care and unit operations
• RTO of 3 days or fewer may be considered; RTO requests must be disclosed upfront, as requests after submission will not be approved
• Only one holiday off will be approved for this assignment
• Travelers are issued a security badge with a panic button for immediate assistance
