Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / IR Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and active IR, vascular, and pain procedure scrubbing skills for a 13-week travel contract.
Details
- Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab setting performing a wide range of IR, vascular, and pain management procedures
- Procedures include tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, Hickman lines), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PEG tube placements, Pleurx catheter placements, epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablations, angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, and IVC filter placements
- The unit also handles CT and X-ray cases, though floating to those areas is not required
- Schedule is 4x8-hour shifts (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and 1x10-hour shift (Wed: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM), totaling 42 hours per week
- No on-call or weekend shifts required
- Every other holiday coverage is expected
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of IR/Cath Lab experience required
- Travel experience required
- Active MD state license required (license required if applicable)
- ARRT-R, ACLS, BLS, and fluoroscopy permit required
- Proficiency with the Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm required
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrubbing for IR, vascular, and pain management procedures is a core responsibility of this role
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are accepted for this position
- All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration
