Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, DC, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and active DC licensure.

Details

Labor & Delivery unit within a 228-bed Level 1 Trauma Magnet teaching hospital
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:30 PM – 8:00 AM)
Every other weekend required
Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
No on-call responsibilities
Charting systems include Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos
Scrubs are provided by the facility
13-week contract

Requirements

Active DC RN license required (pending licensure not accepted)
Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

Every other holiday coverage is required
RTO is limited to 1 request for the duration of the contract
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates are accepted
Parking is the clinician's responsibility; options include street metered parking, daily/weekly/monthly hospital parking, and convenient access via DC Metro (Shaw/Howard University stop on Green and Yellow lines) and multiple bus routes
