Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Washington, DC, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and active DC licensure.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a 228-bed Level 1 Trauma Magnet teaching hospital
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:30 PM – 8:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting systems include Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required (pending licensure not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Every other holiday coverage is required
- RTO is limited to 1 request for the duration of the contract
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Parking is the clinician's responsibility; options include street metered parking, daily/weekly/monthly hospital parking, and convenient access via DC Metro (Shaw/Howard University stop on Green and Yellow lines) and multiple bus routes
