Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and travel experience for a 5-day-a-week day shift position in an active IR/Cath Lab setting.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Procedures include tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, Hickman lines), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PEG tube placements, and Pleurx catheter placements
- Pain management procedures include epidural blocks and radiofrequency ablations
- Vascular procedures include angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, and IVC filter placements
- The unit also handles CT and X-ray cases, though floating to these areas is not required
- Schedule is 4x8-hour shifts (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri; 7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and 1x10-hour shift (Wed; 7:00 AM–5:00 PM), totaling 42 hours per week
- No on-call or weekend shifts required
- Holiday coverage required every other holiday
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IR experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- ARRT-R, ACLS, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
- MD state license required (license required if applicable)
- Proficiency with the Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrubbing for IR, vascular, and pain procedures is a core responsibility of this role
- Candidates located within 60 miles of the facility may be considered as local candidates
