Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position in Madison, WI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU III/IV experience and Epic proficiency.

• 26-bed NICU within a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center that is also a Magnet®-designated facility
• Level IV NICU caring for critically ill newborns and infants with a wide range of medical and surgical complexities
• Patient population includes post-op patients and infants requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including g-tubes, trach/vent management, and various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Day and night 12-hour shifts available: 7:00am–7:30pm and 7:00pm–7:30am
• Schedule runs Monday through Friday with 2–3 required weekends per 6-week scheduling period
• Epic EMR required, preferably with experience within the last 12 months
• Travelers are the first to float and may be scheduled in multiple units or locations within the organization based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license from permanent state of residence
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NRP certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU (Level III and IV experience may be combined to meet the 2-year total)
• Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation required
• Basic Arrhythmia (telemetry) experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the primary work site to be eligible for this position

• Candidates must pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start
