Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN with telemetry certification and chemotherapy administration experience for a night shift position in a Medical Telemetry Oncology Unit.

Details

• Medical Telemetry Oncology Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes oncology, cardiac, and pre-open heart patients
• Procedures and cases include cardiac GTTs (limited titration), chemotherapy infusions, TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman, Lead Extraction, TR Bands, complex PCI/angiogram, dysrhythmias, vascular procedures, and hemodialysis (RN-administered at bedside)
• Nurse Telemetry Driven Protocol used to assist with patient throughput
• EMR: Epic
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• Max 5 days RTO for consideration

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Telemetry certification required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level 1 or Level 2 experience required
• Experience with cardiac GTTs required
• Experience administering chemotherapy required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Chemotherapy certification preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include caring for a complex oncology and cardiac patient population, administering chemotherapy infusions, managing telemetry monitoring, and supporting cardiac interventional patients
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All time off and scheduling requests must be disclosed at time of initial consideration
