Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a 4x10 day shift position at a transplant and primary stroke center in Atlanta, GA.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting serving as a transplant facility and primary stroke center
• MRI/MRA-heavy unit with adult acute care, adult ICU, ER/trauma, and adult outpatient work settings
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Thursday–Sunday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Call requirement of one weekend every 6 weeks
• Floating within the facility's scope of practice and to outpatient as needed
• MRI procedures include brain, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), MSK, abdomen/pelvis, MRA/MRV, and cardiovascular imaging
• Specialized procedures include diffusion imaging, gradient echo, perfusion, spectroscopy, MIP, MRP, peripheral MRA with bilateral runoff, and image post-processing
• Equipment includes GE and Siemens MRI scanners and PACS
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) or ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS required
• GA or Compact state license required; license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge references are not accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• RTO is capped at 7 days; no RTO may be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them and no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be available for two and one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility system must have been away for a full year from all system facilities before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• The listed shift and schedule are firm — no alternate shift or schedule requests are permitted
• Copies of all certifications listed in the position description are required for consideration
