Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry position at an academic teaching hospital, specializing in Head, Neck, and Plastics patients on night shifts.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in Head, Neck, and Plastics patients
Academic teaching hospital environment
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekend coverage required
Floating to other units required
Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

Active KY or compact RN license in good standing required at time of consideration — no licensure hits accepted
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU and telemetry nursing experience required
Teaching hospital experience preferred
2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

Travel experience is not required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
Former permanent staff at this facility must have been separated for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — RTO requests submitted after the time of consideration will not be approved
