Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a MO or compact RN license, with night shift scheduling and every other weekend availability.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday coverage required
• Travelers are first to float, based on skills
• EMR: Altera Sunrise (formerly Allscripts), noted to be very similar to Cerner — prior experience not required

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); TNCC required for ICU-background candidates
• Minimum of Med/Surg Telemetry experience, including familiarity with drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin
• Progressive Care (Step-Down) or ICU experience preferred, including vasoactive drips such as Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynephrine, and Dobutamine
• Two professional references required for consideration
• New graduates will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of a 5-day structured program: days 1–2 are system-wide orientation, day 3 is facility-specific orientation, day 4 is clinical orientation, and day 5 varies by unit
• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate; candidates applying to the Great Bend campus must reside outside a 60-mile radius to qualify for travel rates
