Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with neuro/spine surgical experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Birmingham, AL, working day shifts in a Main OR setting.

Details

  • Main OR at a 595-bed, Joint Commission-accredited comprehensive hospital in Birmingham, AL
  • Neuro and spine surgical patient population
  • 1:1 patient ratio in a 24-OR suite environment
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • No weekend requirements
  • On-call is required and varies depending on the team assigned; details discussed during interview
  • Floating within a 25-mile radius of the home campus may be required
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Preferred experience with Da Vinci Robot, Mayfield (Maxface), and orthopedic procedures

Requirements

  • Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only; American Red Cross not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience, specifically in neuro/spine

Additional Information

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for neuro and spine surgical patients in a Main OR environment
  • The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and recognized for excellence in stroke care, cardiovascular services, surgical care, bariatrics, and more
  • Navy scrubs required; no T-shirts, fleece jackets, hooded garments, or nail polish permitted
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • All BLS/ACLS certifications must be AHA-issued and must not be expired or expiring within 30 days of the start date
