Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Oncology position requiring ONS/ONCC certification and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Surgical Oncology unit, functioning as both a stepdown and med/surg environment
  • Night shift schedule, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
  • Patient population includes surgical oncology cases ranging from simple to complex acuity levels

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • ONS or ONCC certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Proficiency in organizing, planning, and coordinating nursing care
  • Ability to initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products

Additional Information

  • Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including documentation of responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments
  • Assists physicians with patient examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
  • Monitors and responds to physiological data and changes in patient condition
  • Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood product delivery
  • Collaborates with patients and families on care planning, education, and discharge instructions
  • Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff and makes referrals to relevant personnel as needed
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract
