Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a Rehab position in Fort Dodge, IA, with required outpatient experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Primarily outpatient clinic setting, with 4 days per week in outpatient and 1 day per week in acute care
• Acute care caseload focuses on ortho/neuro patients and safety discharge assessments
• Traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Optional acute care weekend shifts (1–2 per contract), with on-call coverage Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM and Sunday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required; work history must reflect 24 months of current PT experience
• Outpatient PT experience required; inpatient experience preferred
• At least one completed travel contract preferred
• Active Iowa PT license required; non-Iowa-licensed candidates will be considered if willing and able to apply for the Iowa license (license required if applicable)
• Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients as part of an interdisciplinary team across outpatient and acute care settings
• New orientation begins weekly every Monday
• Candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months may not be considered
• A supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the last 2 years is preferred for consideration
• Holiday coverage: travelers are expected to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
