Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma hospital in Boston, MA, requiring 2+ years of CT experience and Siemens scanner proficiency.
Details
- Level 1 trauma hospital setting within a large academic health system
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Weekend availability required
- Non-rotating shift
- Floating required among radiology clinics and divisions within the health system as needed
- Siemens CT scanner used; Siemens experience is required
- Epic used for charting
- Timekeeping via UKG/Kronos
- No validated parking available at this Boston location; public transportation and paid public parking lots are nearby
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
- ARRT registration required; CT registry (ARRT) required
- Active BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Siemens CT scanner experience required
- Epic EMR experience
- At least one year of cross-sectional anatomy coursework
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Operate CT equipment including CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices to acquire diagnostic images per departmental protocol
- Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction, following all contrast administration policies
- Execute Radiology Information System functions including scheduling exams, completing exams, and transferring images to PACS
- Calibrate and verify operation of all equipment; report malfunctions to appropriate personnel
- May oversee and instruct radiology students and other personnel within the department
- Participate in research programs, quality assurance, and quality improvement projects
- Transport and transfer patients in accordance with departmental guidelines
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and eligible at a reduced pay rate
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
