Description

American Traveler is seeking a multi-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, working primarily in the CT/X-Ray department with support to the Emergency Department
• Multi-modality role requiring proficiency in both CT and X-ray imaging
• Equipment includes Siemens, Canon, and Toshiba CT and X-ray systems
• CT perfusion studies and C-arm experience preferred
• Approximately 20–40 scans per shift, with volume varying based on ED activity
• Charting is done in MEDITECH
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT/X-ray Technologist
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• ARRT (CT) specialty certification preferred; candidates with ARRT (R) and strong CT experience will be considered
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience with Siemens, Canon, or Toshiba CT and X-ray equipment preferred
• MEDITECH experience preferred
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift, push, and pull without restrictions; heavy lifting up to 35 lbs required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, performing daily QC and tube warm-ups, selecting scan protocols, positioning and immobilizing patients, administering contrast materials, and taking patient history prior to exams
• Will assist in X-ray as needed in addition to primary CT duties
• Responsible for transporting patients to and from the department
• Follows radiation protection principles (ALARA), sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and infection control standards
• Black pants and pewter top scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
