Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Telemetry position at an acute care Magnet hospital in Illinois, requiring cardiac drip management and Epic experience.

Details

• Acute care Magnet hospital with 40 beds on the telemetry unit and 222 beds facility-wide
• High-risk cardiac telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating required to all inpatient units at both campuses within scope of practice
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available
• Navy scrubs required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be acceptable — note status when applying
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or cardiac nursing experience required
• Cardiac drip management experience required
• Arterial sheath pull experience required
• Central line management experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Holiday coverage expectations apply per facility policy
