Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at an acute care Magnet hospital in Belleville, IL, requiring cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:45–07:15)
• High-risk cardiac telemetry unit within a 40-bed unit / 222-bed acute care Magnet hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, and central line management are performed on this unit
• Epic EMR experience required
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to all inpatient units at both campuses
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be acceptable at time of consideration — please note pending status when applying
• Active MO RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry and high-risk cardiac nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Completion of orientation modules required prior to or at the start of the assignment
