Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience and an active FL or compact RN license for a 13-week travel contract requiring on-call availability.

Details

Hospital operating room setting with potential floating to sister campus OR locations (all within 15-20 minutes)
Strong orthopedic surgical experience required in the OR
12-hour day shifts, scheduled Monday, Thursday, and Friday (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
On-call responsibilities required
EMR: Epic
Travelers will be first to float and may be assigned to sister campus ORs

Requirements

Active FL or compact RN license, visible through Nursys, with DL address matching the address on the Board of Nursing
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
Strong orthopedic OR experience required
Degree accreditation documentation required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — this rule is strictly enforced and includes property ownership or co-signing within the radius
Two professional references required (at least one from within the past year)
Full demographic information required for consideration, including full DOB and SSN

Additional Information

Orientation begins on a Friday with remote orientation followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID — candidates must be present in the area on that Friday
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront during the consideration process and will not be approved after an offer is made
Block scheduling requests are not accepted
Candidates should be flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented — the facility places high value on these qualities
No block scheduling is permitted
