Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a 15-bed LDRP unit, requiring at least 2 years of OB experience and multiple certifications including NRP and C-EFM.
Details
- 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms in a hospital setting
- Patient care spans antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care
- Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios
- Nurses perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other areas of the house as a sitter when needed, and to an affiliated campus approximately 27 miles away when census allows
- No on-call responsibilities
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
- Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
- Required skills: OR circulating and FHM triage
- Preferred skill: OR scrub
Additional Information
- RNs work across all areas of the LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating and scrubbing, newborn care, and couplet care
- Training provided to complete newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- No time off (RTO) approved during the first two weeks of the contract
