Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position at a leading Midwest health system, requiring an active MN RN license and a minimum of 2 years of LTC experience or 3 prior travel assignments.
Details
- Long term care unit within a large academic health system in Rochester, MN
- Night shift schedule: 6 PM–6 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program, or at least 1 year of RN experience within the last 5 years in an applicable care setting if program was not accredited; 1 year of RN experience also required if graduation did not occur within the last 2 years
- Minimum of 2 years of long term care RN experience and/or 3 completed travel assignments required for this Rochester, MN facility
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required (must not expire within 3 months of start date)
- English proficiency required (speak, read, write)
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for coordinating nursing care including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care
- Functions within the nursing professional practice model with accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of care for assigned patients
- May serve in preceptor and informal leadership roles and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Delegates patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources
- COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
