Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 3 years of experience for a 13-week assignment in Oregon.
Details
- Home health setting with patient care provided in patients' homes
- Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Oregon OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 3 years of OT experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required
- Must have own vehicle for patient home visits
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum
- Eligible for or registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
Additional Information
- Evaluate patients' functional status and implement physician-directed plans of care in a home health and hospice setting
- Perform assessments and reassessments using objective tests and measurements
- Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team through communication and team meetings to coordinate patient care
- Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers as appropriate
- Complete accurate, concise documentation of all communications, coordination, and treatment activity
- Work under the supervision of the Home Health and Hospice Manager
- CRASE training may be required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
- Registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association preferred
- Continuing education relevant to physical disability, rehabilitation, mental health, elderly population, long-term care, and home health preferred
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
