Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Radiology department position requiring ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification and a valid state radiographer license.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiology department setting
• Performs diagnostic and interventional CT procedures across the full age continuum
• Uses CT equipment, PACS, HIS, RIS, scheduling systems, and teleradiography
• 4x12-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Every 4th weekend required, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program required
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• BLS certification through AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network required
• Valid Nebraska radiographer license required — license required if applicable
• Knowledge of CT positioning, technical factors, radiation safety, and both non-invasive and invasive CT procedures
• Proficiency with CT equipment, PACS, and related imaging systems
• Ability to perform venipuncture
• 2 current references required for consideration — 1 must be from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor in the position's specialty within the last 3 years
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• Performs all types of CT studies including diagnostic and interventional procedures, with strict radiation safety practices for patients, staff, and self
• Administers contrast agents and other drugs and biologicals pertinent to CT procedures per facility protocol
• Coordinates exams within and across departments to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care
• Participates in department quality improvement initiatives and assists with student clinical education as directed
• Maintains, cleans, and disinfects CT equipment and notifies appropriate personnel of any equipment issues
