Description

American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and current ARRT or RCIS certification for a travel assignment in a hospital cardiac catheterization lab setting.

• Procedures include invasive cardiovascular, cardiac, and vascular imaging
• 5x8 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab / Cardiology
• ARRT (Registered) or RCIS required; RCIS must be obtained within 18 months of hire if not already held; Registered Respiratory Therapists must hold a CV-specific certification (RCIS or RCES)
• Current BLS and ACLS — both must be AHA-certified and must not expire prior to the assignment start date
• Fluoroscopy Certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• License required if applicable — no pending licenses will be accepted
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures and assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular cases
• Acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions throughout clinical procedures
• Operates imaging equipment and monitors and documents procedure images and events from the control room
• Provides patient care under RN supervision and educates patients and families on pre- and post-procedure expectations
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate stock levels for complex interventional and diagnostic procedures
• Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Radiation badges must be supplied by the vendor
• Associate's degree preferred but not required
• 2 years of Cath Lab experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Candidates who have been permanent staff at an Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
