Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 1 year of L&D experience and an active Iowa or Compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• OB/GYN combined unit within a regional hospital setting
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 3:1 for couplet care
• Intermediate fetal monitoring using Philips Tracevue
• Charting in Meditech EHR
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the hospital to other units as needed

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand)
• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Travel nursing experience may be considered in lieu of additional years of experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• All county and state background checks must be fully cleared prior to start
• Mandatory reporter certification required (child and adult)
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers within the last 12 months required: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• COVID vaccination card required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• 13-week contract duration
