Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic EMR experience, Level 1 Trauma background, and IL licensure for a night shift contract.

Details

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with expectation to be onsite within one hour
Emergency Department setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility
Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Minimum education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN); BSN preferred
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

Performs patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
Continuously evaluates and modifies care plans based on patient response
Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation to support the healthcare team
Upholds patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards
Collaborates and communicates effectively with staff, patients, visitors, and families
RTO not to exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
