Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of CT experience and active ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications for a 13-week travel assignment in Salida, CO.

Details

• Hospital-based diagnostic imaging department in Salida, CO
• Performs radiographic and CT procedures across multiple care settings including the OR, ER, recovery room, and patient rooms using portable equipment
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric patients, as well as trauma, pregnancy-related, and elderly cases
• 36 hours per week on a variable shift schedule: day shifts from April 1 through May 8, transitioning to night shifts from May 9 through June 27

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
• Must be CT registered — hands-on experience alone does not meet this requirement
• Current ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• BLS/BCLS required
• NMTCB, CNMT, or RVT may be applicable depending on scope
• Must have graduated from an ARRT-approved program
• State license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform radiographic and CT exams by selecting proper technique, positioning patients, and applying ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure for both patients and staff
• Perform MRI exams including safety screening, proper protocol selection, and patient positioning
• Transport patients to and from the department and assist with transfers between bed, gurney, and exam table
• Ensure required consent forms are completed, obtain patient histories, and document allergy information prior to procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination
