Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Night shift position, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Medical/Surgical unit in a 110-bed short-term acute care hospital
• General medical and surgical patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Epic EMR; experience required
• Weekend rotation of every third weekend
• Holiday rotation based on department needs
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to a sister campus and similar patient population departments
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Valid MO state RN license required at time of consideration; compact license accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Chemotherapy administration and charge nurse experience are preferred skills
• Light gray/silver scrubs required
• Some orientation will occur on weekdays due to limited weekend class availability
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at this facility or any BJC facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
