Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down/PCU/Telemetry position at a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with night shift availability.

Details

  • 24-bed Progressive Care/Step-Down/Telemetry unit within a comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility
  • Patient population includes complex cases such as PCI and open-heart surgery patients
  • Patient ratio of 1:3-4
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
  • Epic EMR used; experience preferred
  • Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position

Requirements

  • Active ID or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers should check position details for eligibility consideration
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
