Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active DC RN license.
Details
- 13-week travel contract at an academic medical center in Washington, DC
- Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit (dept 6207)
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license for Washington, DC required — no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA only), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a US hospital setting, with at least 2 years of MS/Tele specialty experience
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired
- Active US SSN required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidate must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to qualify for travel placement
Additional Information
- Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments including review of systems and admission assessments in accordance with policy and procedures
- Delivers age-appropriate, patient- and family-centered care across the care continuum
- Certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- CPI certification is mandated for this position
