Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an OB unit covering Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

• Work in the OB unit of a community hospital setting
• Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Maine (ME) or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate

Additional Information

• Provide holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for OB patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
• Responsible for managing supplies and equipment within the unit
• Promote teamwork and collaboration with physicians and staff across hospital departments
• Must successfully complete general nursing and unit-specific orientation
