Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Supervisor for a fast-paced Emergency Department role requiring at least 1 year of ER supervisory experience and active DC licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting at an academic hospital in Washington, DC
• AM/PM rotation shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• Patient population includes urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients
• Nurses manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood products, and chest tube management
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS (AHA-issued certifications only)
• CPI certification required for this position
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience in a US hospital required
• Minimum 1 year of ER supervisory experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months (at least one from most recent employer)
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs, ensuring safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• All certifications submitted must be AHA-issued
