Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment history for a night shift position in New Mexico.

Details

  • MRI department within an acute care hospital setting
  • 10-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Tuesday through Friday
  • Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
  • Epic EMR used on-site; training available for those without prior Epic experience

Requirements

  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required
  • New Mexico state MRI license required if applicable
  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
  • At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong teamwork and flexibility
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include instructing patients on MRI procedures, preparing and positioning patients, selecting imaging techniques, and calibrating equipment
  • Obtains images, produces film records, transfers data from workstation, and inspects exams for quality and completeness
  • Performs quality assurance on MRI equipment and laser camera, and maintains clinical supplies inventory
  • Must adhere to facility policies, safety standards, HIPAA, and compliance regulations
  • Former permanent staff of this facility must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
