Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Oro Valley, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Details

  • Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery Room setting within a hospital
  • Day and evening shifts available: 05:45–18:00 and 07:45–20:30, 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • On-call requirements: one 12-hour call shift (18:00–06:30) and two 24-hour weekend call shifts (06:00–06:00) per six-week period
  • EMR: Cerner (experience preferred)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience required
  • No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration
  • US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provides post-anesthesia care by collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff using the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care, including delegation and supervision of assigned personnel
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
  • RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
