Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position in Rio Rico, AZ, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active AZ license required prior to start.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Patient population includes general outpatient, injured workers, and direct access cases
• Responsibilities span across occupational health services including work hardening, functional capacity evaluations (FCEs), and ergonomic assessments
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ PT license required prior to start date; proof of pending licensure accepted for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with outpatient and occupational/industrial rehabilitation preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients per physician referral or direct access, establishing plans of care, and supervising PT assistants and technicians
• Performs specialized assessments including WorkSTEPS, APET post-offer testing, FCEs, work hardening evaluations, and ergonomic/job analyses
• Maintains ongoing communication with referring physicians, rehab nurses, case managers, and insurance representatives
• Supports clinic operations including scheduling, phone coverage, and referral intake as needed
• Participates in business development activities and community outreach when patient load allows

• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required
