Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Telemetry position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit in a regional hospital setting serving a broad adult patient population
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with CNA and LPN support staff
• Uses MediTech EHR
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred but not required
• HWC (Hands-With-Care) certification required
• 1-2 years of RN experience required
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travel experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required to clear prior to start
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• Drug screening must be a 10-panel test including opiates
• Immunization titers must be dated within the last 12 months
• COVID vaccination card required
• Monday or Tuesday start dates available
